Hi friends, I’m Evelyn!

When I was 19 I moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, where Graceful Waves first began. I’ve always had a deep love for nature, especially the beach and the ocean. Some of my favorite days are spent diving and exploring the shoreline with my friends, searching for seashells.

There’s something very special about finding beauty in something as small and detailed as a seashell. For me, it has always been a reminder of God’s creativity and the beauty He creates all around us. If you’ve ever spent an afternoon searching for shells, you know exactly what I mean.

If God can take something so small and make it so unique and beautiful, imagine how He views you.

I love jewelry, but I only choose to wear pieces that I never have to take off or worry about. I want to swim, live, and go about my everyday life in my jewelry, which means quality matters to me.

One day, I took a pair of seashells I had found and turned them into earrings. Slowly those earrings started getting noticed. I began making them for friends and selling small batches in person. Those little batches eventually led to pop-ups, an Instagram page, and now, this website.

And just like that, Graceful Waves was born.

The name came to me one day and felt almost too perfect. Grace is my middle name, while waves represent the place where those very first seashells were found. However, there’s another layer of meaning that makes the name especially close to my heart.

John 1:16 says, “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

Graceful Waves carries a little piece of everything that inspired this business—a part of me, a place I love, and most importantly, my faith. My hope is that this business can be a small way to share that with you too.

Every seashell you see throughout the site has been handpicked by me from different places around the world. Each one is naturally unique, making every piece a little different and truly one of a kind.
